School-Connect

School Connect is a programme for school groups coming to the UK. It was originally designed as a substitute for the more traditional exchange programme, which are very difficult to organize in the UK. A School-Connect course is based in a British secondary school. Students are allocated partners and attend classes with them. They also have the opportunity to socialise with their buddies at break and lunch times.

Students can:
· attend lessons with pupils from the host school
· make friends, listen to and speak English
· attend English classes, if they are part of the booked programme
· have excursions and activities
· see how a British school operates
· stay with local host families or in an attractive boarding school

We offer 2 different one week programmes. Either:
· 12 hours of English language classes plus 2 integration sessions with British
partners or
· 5 sessions of integration
· On both programmes, we offer a full day excursion and 2 afternoon activities.
Accommodation is:
· with local host families on a full-board package, with packed lunches.
Locations: Manchester, Gloucester and Nottingham.
· in a boarding school on a full board basis at Haileybury College, Hertford.

This programme is for groups only, September – May, during British school term
time. We also work with a partner organisation that offers integration programmes for individual students.
