Welfare

The most important thing for us is that you are safe and well cared for and happy while you are with us. Lessons, trips and activities will all be more enjoyable if you feel comfortable and relaxed. It is also important that you know we will look after you if you need help.

The office is open from 08.30 – 22.00 every day and there will be a Head of House and other staff in your boarding house. If you have any problems, you have plenty of opportunity to come and talk to us.

If you feel unwell, we have several first-aid trained staff on site and a doctor nearby. We also have 2 hospitals within 20 minutes drive.

Jill and Martin live in the school and you will be given a 24 hour emergency number when you enrol, so you can contact them any time.

Even though there are lots of things for you to do on campus, Haileybury remains a very safe and tranquil environment. We expect you to stay on campus, except when you go on organised trips, and to follow the school rules which are there to protect you.
