Our Academic English Course is for motivated students who wish to study in the UK in the future. Students may take this optional course in addition to our General English programme.
Our professional and qualified teachers offer useful advice and information for UK academic life and courses take place at one of the UK’s leading and most historic boarding schools.
We aim to develop and practise essential academic skills and to nurture life skills that are necessary for studying away from home, such as time management, being independent and making international friends.
Classes include a private tour of a well-regarded boarding school and question and answer sessions regarding the UK education system and university life.
Students will have the opportunity to improve their presentation skills and learn how to write an effective personal statement for UK university applications.
Students will also benefit from practical lessons on essay writing and techniques for note-taking in university lectures.
