Students at ISC go on excursions twice or three times a week to some of England’s most famous sites.
Due to the amazing location of ISC, we visit London at least once a week. We also go on trips to the nearby university city of Cambridge, Royal Windsor, Hertford and St Albans.
Our students have unforgettable experiences on their excursions, such as going sightseeing in London and visiting its world-famous museums and art galleries.
They can also try punting in historic Cambridge, take a ride on the London Eye and see the changing of the guard at Windsor Castle or Buckingham Palace.
On most trips there is free time for the students to explore or go shopping with their new friends.
We prepare our students for their excursions in British Culture lessons, where they learn all about the history, geography and cultural significance of the places they will be visiting. Our staff also give informative guided tours on all excursions.
Students have the opportunity to use their English in real-life situations on their trips and to get to know their fellow international students.
On Sundays there are optional trips for an extra charge to many exciting places such as Brighton, Warwick, London, the Harry Potter Warner Brothers studios and Thorpe Park amusement park.
The safety of our students on trips is of paramount importance. We have a dedicated coach leader on each trip who carries a first aid kit. Our staff prepare students for their excursions with on the coach safety talks.
There is a ratio of 1 adult per 15 students on trips and during free time students are required to meet our staff at regular intervals.
Students are also given a card detailing ISC’s contact details on arrival at ISC, so that they contact the school in case of an emergency.
